Enclosed DOL starter — what it packs and where it fits
The Schneider Electric TeSys LG1K065M706 is an enclosed direct-on-line starter from the TeSys LG family, combining a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker in a single IP55 polycarbonate enclosure rated IK07 for impact resistance. It is designed for safety applications per IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60204-1, with a push-button start (white I), stop (black O), and a red rotary handle emergency stop on the front panel. The thermal protection adjustment range of 1 to 1.6 A sets the overload relay to match the motor full-load current; paired with the AC-3 utilisation category, this starter is sized for squirrel-cage motor switching under full load. Motor power capability reaches 0.25 kW at 220/230 V AC and 0.55 kW at 400/415 V AC or 440 V AC, all at 50/60 Hz. Cable entry is via four knockouts — two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 on both top and bottom faces, giving flexibility for panel gland-plate routing in a standard environment.
Enclosure and mounting — IP55 with impact protection
The polycarbonate enclosure measures 175 mm wide by 165 mm high by 165 mm deep, providing IP55 protection against dust and water jets plus IK07 impact resistance (2 J). This suits installation in washdown areas or environments where accidental tool strikes are a concern. The four cable entries (Pg 13 and Pg 16 at top and bottom) accept standard metric gland sizes for motor and supply cables.
