What this enclosed DOL starter delivers
The thermal protection adjustment range of 2.5 to 4 A sets the overload relay trip point; per the datasheet, this corresponds to motor power ratings of 0.75 kW at 220/230 V AC and 1.5 kW at 400/415 V AC or 440 V AC, all at 50/60 Hz. The unit integrates a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker into one polycarbonate enclosure rated IP55 and IK07 per IEC 60529. IP55 means it withstands water jets from any direction — suitable for washdown areas on a production line — while IK07 protects against impacts up to 2 J. The enclosure carries four cable entries: two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 at both top and bottom, giving flexibility for incoming and outgoing motor and control wiring. The control interface includes a white push-button for start, a black push-button for stop, and a red rotary handle for emergency stop, plus a red mushroom-head push-button for emergency stop. This dual emergency-stop arrangement meets the safety application requirement per IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60204-1, which govern motor starters and machinery electrical equipment respectively.
