The Schneider Electric TeSys LG1K065N705 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter, built for single-motor control in a polycarbonate box that carries IP55 and IK07 ratings. It combines a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker in one assembly, with the thermal protection set for 0.63 to 1 A. At 400/415 V AC 50/60 Hz it handles a 0.25 kW motor; at 220/230 V AC the motor rating drops to 0.12 kW. The control circuit is 400/415 V AC — same line as the motor power, so no separate control transformer needed.
Where it goes and what it faces
The enclosure measures 175 mm wide by 165 mm tall by 165 mm deep. Four cable entries — two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 — are provided on both top and bottom faces, giving flexibility for routing incoming supply and motor leads. The polycarbonate housing with IP55 means it's protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, so it can live outdoors or in a washdown area. The IK07 impact rating tells you it can survive a 2 J blow — think a tool dropped from waist height. The front panel carries a white push-button for start, a black push-button for stop, and a red rotary-handle emergency stop, so an operator can lock it out right at the box. This is a safety device per IEC 60204-1, and it meets IEC 60947-4-1 for contactors and motor-starters.
