The TeSys LG1K065P705 is an enclosed DOL (direct-on-line) starter that packages a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker into a single polycarbonate enclosure. It's rated for AC-3 duty — the standard motor-switching category per IEC 60947-4-1 — and its thermal protection adjustment range of 0.63 to 1 A sets the motor full-load current it can protect. That 0.63–1 A band covers small fractional-horsepower motors: 0.12 kW at 230 V AC, or 0.25 kW at 400/415 V AC. The 230 V AC control coil matches common plant control voltages in 50/60 Hz systems. The IP55 rating means the enclosure is dust-protected and can handle water jets from any direction — suitable for washdown areas or outdoor installations under cover. IK07 impact resistance adds a layer of mechanical toughness against accidental knocks. The push-button start/stop and rotary emergency stop on the front give local operator control without needing a separate control station.
The 0.63–1 A thermal adjustment range must match the motor's full-load amperes; setting it too high defeats overload protection, too low causes nuisance trips. The 230 V AC coil voltage must match the control circuit supplying it — a 24 V DC system won't pull this in. Cable entries are 4 x Pg 13 plus 2 x Pg 16 on both top and bottom faces, giving flexibility for incoming supply and outgoing motor leads. The enclosure dimensions — 175 mm wide, 165 mm high, 165 mm deep — fit a standard panel footprint, but verify clearance for the rotary handle throw.
