The Schneider Electric TeSys LG1K065Q708 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter that integrates a contactor, switch disconnector, and circuit-breaker in a single polycarbonate enclosure rated IP55 with IK07 impact resistance. It is designed for AC-3 motor starting duty, delivering 0.75 kW at 220/230 V AC and 1.5 kW at 400/415 V AC or 440 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The thermal protection adjustment range is 2.5 to 4 A, and the control circuit voltage is 380/400 V AC. The enclosure includes a white push-button start, black push-button stop, and a red rotary handle emergency stop.
The AC-3 utilisation category (IEC 60947-4-1) means the starter is rated for starting and stopping squirrel-cage motors under full load — the 1.5 kW at 400 V AC is the motor power it can handle in that duty. The IP55 enclosure (IEC 60529) protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for washdown or outdoor installations where the starter is mounted directly on the machine frame. The thermal protection adjustment range of 2.5 to 4 A sets the overload relay trip point; set it to the motor's full-load current, not the starter's maximum.
Integration notes
The enclosure measures 175 mm wide by 165 mm high by 165 mm deep. Cable entries are provided: 4 knockouts (2 x Pg 13 + 2 x Pg 16) on both top and bottom faces. The polycarbonate material is lightweight and corrosion-resistant but check gland compatibility with the Pg thread sizes — standard metric glands may need adapters. The rotary handle emergency stop protrudes from the front face; allow clearance for the handle swing.
