The Schneider Electric TeSys LG7D18Q721 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter — a self-contained motor-starting package that combines a contactor, a circuit-breaker (motor-protective device), and control pushbuttons in a single polycarbonate enclosure rated IP55. It is designed for safety applications per IEC 60204-1 and IEC 60947-4-1, with a white start pushbutton, a black stop pushbutton, and a red mushroom-head emergency stop on the cover. The thermal protection adjustment range spans 17 to 23 A, and the AC-3 utilisation category means it is rated for switching three-phase induction motors: 4 kW at 220/230 V AC, 9 kW at 400/415 V AC, and 9 kW at 440 V AC (50/60 Hz). The control circuit runs on 380 V AC 50/60 Hz.
