Enclosed DOL starter for motor control
The Schneider Electric TeSys LG7K06B704A39 is an enclosed direct-on-line starter rated for 0.18 kW at 400/415 V AC, 50/60 Hz, in AC-3 duty — meaning it handles the starting current of a standard squirrel-cage induction motor up to that power. The 24 V AC control coil keeps the control circuit at a safe extra-low voltage, common in panel designs where the pushbutton station runs on a separate transformer. Built as a contactor and circuit-breaker combination inside a polycarbonate enclosure, it provides both switching and short-circuit protection in one package. The thermal protection adjustment range of 0.4...0.63 A sets the overload trip point for the connected motor's full-load current.
Safety-rated application and compliance
The device application is listed as Safety, and it complies with IEC 60204-1 (safety of machinery — electrical equipment) and IEC 60947-4-1 (contactors and motor-starters). That dual compliance covers both the machine-level safety circuit requirements and the motor-starting performance standards. The push-button control — white I for start, black O for stop — gives a local operator station integrated into the enclosure lid. Cable entries include four knockouts: two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 on both top and bottom faces, giving flexibility for incoming supply and outgoing motor leads without needing an additional junction box. The polycarbonate material is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, a practical choice for food-and-bev or chemical environments where stainless steel would be overkill.
