The Schneider TeSys LG7K06F710 is an enclosed direct-on-line (DOL) starter — a contactor and circuit-breaker in one polycarbonate box, ready to bolt to a machine frame or wall. It's sized for a 3 kW motor at 440 V AC (AC-3 duty), with thermal protection adjustable from 4 to 6.3 A. IP55 and IK07 mean it handles washdown and accidental impacts — common on conveyor, pump, and fan installations in food, packaging, or light industrial lines.
AC-3 utilisation category is the motor-switching rating — it's what governs real life, not the resistive AC-1 number. At 440 V the unit handles 3 kW; at 400/415 V it's 2.2 kW, and at 220/230 V it drops to 1.1 kW. The thermal adjustment range (4...6.3 A) sets the overload trip point — match it to the full-load current of your motor, not the breaker's maximum. Control voltage is fixed at 110 V AC; if your panel runs 24 VDC or 230 V, this coil won't pull in. Standards IEC 60947-4-1 (low-voltage switchgear for motor starters) and IEC 60204-1 (safety of machinery — electrical equipment) are both cited. That means the assembly meets the coordination and isolation requirements for a safety-rated motor circuit.
The box measures 175 mm wide × 165 mm high × 177 mm deep. Four cable entries are provided — two Pg 13 and two Pg 16 on top, same on bottom — enough for motor and control wiring without drilling. Polycarbonate enclosure is lightweight and corrosion-resistant; mount it with the four corner holes (not supplied). No DIN-rail clip — this is a panel-mount or wall-mount enclosure.
