It sits in the front face of a TeSys U starter base, plugging in to set the protection parameters and control logic for the motor branch. Rated for 5.5 kW at 400-440 V AC and 9 kW at 690 V AC, it covers a common range of small-to-medium induction motors in industrial panels. The control circuit accepts 110-240 V AC or 110-220 V DC, with a sealed current draw of 35 mA AC or 35 mA DC — useful to know when sizing the control transformer or DC supply. The unit provides Class 10 thermal overload protection, phase failure sensitivity, and earth fault protection, all in a compact 45 x 66 x 60 mm package that mounts directly on the power base without extra wiring.
The control unit carries approvals to EN 60947-6-2, IEC 60947-6-2, UL 60947-4-1 (with phase barrier), and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 (with phase barrier).
