What this control unit does
The LUCA18FUTQ is a standard control unit from the TeSys U range, designed for basic motor protection and control of 3-phase motors. It handles motor power up to 7.5 kW at 400...440 V AC and 9 kW at 500 V AC, making it a fit for small to medium induction motors on pumps, fans, and conveyors. Protection functions include manual reset, protection against overload and short-circuit, phase failure and phase imbalance, and earth fault protection. The thermal overload class is Class 10, temperature-compensated from -25 to 70 °C per IEC 60947-6-2 and UL 508.
Mounts via plug-in front face — 45 mm wide, 66 mm tall, 60 mm deep. IP20 on the front panel and wired terminals, IP40 on the front panel outside the connection zone. Fits standard TeSys U power bases without additional DIN-rail hardware.
Control circuit voltage
Control circuit accepts 110...240 V AC or 110...220 V DC. The drop-out threshold is 55 V for both AC and DC circuits, so it will not hold in on a 24 V control bus — this unit is not compatible with 24 V control systems.
Certified to EN/IEC 60947-6-2, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 (with phase barrier). Rated insulation voltage 690 V per IEC, 600 V per UL/CSA. Safe separation of 400 V SELV between control/auxiliary and main circuits.
