The Schneider Electric LV839313 is a Masterpact MTZ3 40 HF automatic switch disconnector rated 4000 A at 104 °F (40 °C) in a 3-pole drawout chassis mount. It's built for distribution duty — the kind of main or feeder disconnect you spec into a switchboard where you need to isolate a 4000 A bus without pulling the whole assembly.
The 100 kA Icu at 254 V AC (and 85 kA at 635 V AC) tells you the interrupting capacity at the line side; the 85 kA Icw for 1.5 s is the short-time withstand — it holds that fault current long enough for downstream breakers to clear, which is what makes selective coordination possible. Both figures are with an external relay per ANSI C37.50, so the relay choice affects the rating.
Mounting and physical integration
Drawout mounting means the moving portion slides out of the chassis for inspection or swap without disturbing the bus connections — no crane, no unbolting heavy lugs. The chassis mount itself bolts into the switchboard frame. Overall footprint: 31.07 in wide, 18.8 in tall, 16.8 in deep, with a 9.06 in connection pitch. Push-button control on the front for local open/close. Plan for the depth when laying out the enclosure door swing.
Active in production per the manufacturer's lifecycle status.
