The LV846192 is a MasterPact MTZ2 drawout circuit breaker from the MasterPacT range, rated 1250 A at 40 °C with an H2V performance class giving 100 kA breaking capacity at 415 V AC. It's a 4-pole unit (neutral left) built for power distribution protection in switchgear — Category B selectivity means it coordinates with downstream breakers to isolate faults without blacking out the whole bus. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V AC, operational voltage 440 V AC, and it carries a 12 kV impulse withstand. The 100 kA rated short-time withstand (Icw) holds for 1 second — enough for most upstream coordination windows — and the making capacity (Icm) hits 220 kA at 440 V.
Drawout mounting on rails or a base plate, with front and rear connection options on both the line and load sides. Connection pitch is 115 mm. Dimensions: 556 mm wide, 439 mm high, 403 mm deep — that depth matters for enclosure sizing; the breaker needs a full 403 mm clearance behind the door for the drawout mechanism to rack out.
Breaking performance and coordination
Service breaking capacity (Ics) is 100 kA at both 220/415 V and 440 V AC — that's 100% of the ultimate capacity (Icu), meaning it can reclose and carry load after a fault at that level without derating. Maximum breaking time is 25 ms; closing response time 70 ms. Electrical durability: 10,000 cycles at In under AC-23A (motor switching), 6,000 cycles under AC-3. Mechanical durability is 15,000 cycles with periodic preventive maintenance.
Standards compliance covers EN/IEC 60947-1, 60947-2, 60947-2 Annex H (for Category B selectivity), and IEC 61557-12 (for power metering if a trip unit with metering is installed).
