MasterPact MTZ2 20 H2V — 2000 A drawout breaker
The LV846214 is a MasterPact MTZ2 4-pole drawout circuit breaker from the MasterPacT range, rated 2000 A at 40 °C with an H2V performance class delivering 100 kA breaking capacity at 415 V AC. It is designed for power distribution protection in industrial and commercial switchboards where Category B selectivity is required — meaning it maintains discrimination with downstream breakers during a fault, so only the affected circuit opens.
Rated service breaking capacity (Ics) is 100 kA at both 220/415 V AC and 440 V AC — full rated short-circuit capacity, not a reduced service rating. Short-time withstand (Icw) holds 100 kA for 0.5 s and 1 s, and 75 kA for 3 s, giving the protection engineer headroom for selective coordination with downstream feeders. Making capacity (Icm) reaches 220 kA at 440 V AC, confirming the breaker can close onto a bolted fault without contact welding.
Drawout mounting on rails or a base plate, with front and rear connection options on both the upside and downside. Connection pitch is 115 mm. Neutral position is on the right. The breaker is 556 mm wide, 439 mm tall, and 403 mm deep — verify the switchgear cell dimensions against these before specifying. IP30 protection conforming to EN 60529 suits enclosed panel installation; not rated for washdown environments.
Altitude rating is 0 to 2000 m without derating, 2000 to 5000 m with derating.
