The LV846348 is a MasterPact MTZ2 32 HH switch-disconnector rated for 3200 A continuous at 440 V AC, with a 100 kA Icu breaking capacity at both 415 V and 440 V. It's a 4-pole drawout unit with a right-neutral configuration, designed for distribution applications where isolation is required per EN/IEC 60947-3. The Ics (service breaking capacity) matches the Icu at 100 kA, so it can reclose after a fault at full rating.
Sizing and duty
Utilisation categories AC-23A and AC-3 cover motor switching and mixed resistive-inductive loads. The AC-23A rating at 440 V gives 5000 electrical cycles — enough for daily switching in a distribution panel but not for frequent motor starts. Mechanical durability is 15000 cycles with periodic preventive maintenance. Short-time withstand (Icw) is 75 kA for 3 seconds or 100 kA for 1 second, which coordinates with downstream breakers during a delayed trip. Making capacity (Icm) peaks at 220 kA at 440 V — relevant for closing into a bolted fault.
Drawout chassis mount with a 115 mm connection pitch. The 556 mm width, 439 mm height, and 403 mm depth define the cutout and clearance needed in the switchgear lineup. IP30 protection covers the front face; the drawout mechanism and rear terminals are enclosed within the switchgear cubicle. The push-button control type and contact position indicator give local status without opening the door.
Certified to EN/IEC 60947-3 for switch-disconnectors and EN/IEC 60947-2 for breaking capacity. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V AC, impulse withstand (Uimp) is 12 kV.
