The LV846554 is a Schneider Electric MasterPact MTZ2 fixed-mount air circuit breaker, 4-pole, rated 2000 A at 40 °C. The H10 performance class delivers 50 kA rated ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) at 1150 V AC, meaning it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 50,000 A at that voltage without self-destructing. That matters for critical processes where a faulted feeder can't wait for a breaker swap. Category B per IEC 60947-2 means it has intentional short-time delay capability for selectivity with downstream breakers — the 50 kA Icw for 1 second lets it ride through a fault long enough for a feeder breaker to clear, keeping the main bus live. The 12 kV impulse withstand (Uimp) covers surge coordination in industrial environments.
Integration and mounting constraints
Fixed-mount design: the breaker bolts to a base plate or rails, with rear connections on both the line and load sides. Connection pitch is 115 mm between phase centers. The 537 mm width, 352 mm height, and 300 mm depth define the cubicle cutout and door clearance. Neutral is on the left. IP30 protection means it's suitable for indoor switchgear but not washdown areas.
