The LV847117 is a fixed-mount, 4-pole MasterPact MTZ1 circuit breaker from Schneider Electric's MasterPacT range, rated 630 A at 40 °C. The 1000 V rated insulation voltage and 690 V operational voltage cover most LV industrial and commercial services.
That's the number that matters for coordination studies, not the higher Icu. The Icm (making capacity) hits 330 kA at the same voltage, so it closes onto a bolted fault without welding contacts. Category A selectivity means it's designed for full discrimination with upstream devices down to its rated short-time withstand (Icw) of 10 kA for 0.5 s — enough for most downstream breakers to clear a fault before this one trips.
Mounting and connections
Fixed-mount on rails or base plate, 346 mm wide × 301 mm tall × 209 mm deep. Connection pitch is 70 mm, with both front and rear connection options on the upside and downside. Neutral sits on the left. IP30 protection means it's fine inside a closed panel; keep it out of washdown zones.
Built to EN/IEC 60947-1 and -2, plus Annex H for power circuit breakers and IEC 61557-12 for performance monitoring. Suitable for isolation per EN/IEC 60947-2 — you can use it as a visible-break disconnect. Power dissipation is 45 W at rated current; factor that into your enclosure thermal calculations.
