The LV847369 is a second MX shunt trip release for MasterPact MTZ1, MTZ2, and MTZ3 fixed-mount circuit breakers. It operates on a 12 V DC supply and triggers an opening within 60 ms across all three frame sizes. This is a standard control type voltage release — no adjustable delays or auxiliary logic inside the unit.
The 12 V DC coil is the critical fit parameter: this release will not work on a 24 V or 48 V control circuit without a step-down supply. The tripping threshold is 0.7 to 1.1 times the rated supply voltage on opening, so the coil must see at least 8.4 V DC to reliably trip. Holding power consumption is 4.5 W — negligible for the control transformer budget but worth confirming if the breaker panel runs on a small 50 VA supply.
Integration into MasterPact MTZ
This release mounts into the accessory slot of MasterPact MTZ1, MTZ2, or MTZ3 fixed breakers. The 60 ms maximum response time applies across all three frames — no derating for the larger frame. Since it is a fixed-mount accessory, it does not fit the draw-out versions without an adapter kit. Wiring is straightforward: two terminals for the 12 V DC supply, polarity-sensitive on some batches.
