The Schneider Electric LV847600 is a MicroLogic 2.0 X electronic control unit for the MasterPacT range of air circuit breakers. It provides LI protection — long-time and instantaneous short-circuit protection per ANSI 50 and ANSI 49 — plus comprehensive energy metering and system diagnostics. This is the brain that sits on the breaker, not the breaker itself. You pair it with a MasterPacT frame rated from 400 A up to 6300 A, depending on the frame size (MTZ1, MTZ2, or MTZ3). It's an electronic trip unit (not thermal-magnetic), so it gives you adjustable long-time delay in 0.5 s steps and a full set of protection curves you can tune on-site.
Measurement voltage range is 208…828 V phase-to-phase and 120…480 V phase-to-neutral — so it meters on both wye and delta configurations. Pole configuration is listed as 4P 3P, meaning the unit supports both 3-pole and 4-pole breaker frames. The neutral protection setting is configurable: 1 x Ir (4P 4d), 0.5 x Ir (4P 3d + N/2), 1.6 x Ir (4P 3d + OSN), or no protection (4P 3d). That matters when you're retrofitting a 3-pole breaker into a 4-pole installation or vice versa. Accuracy on current measurements is ±0.5 % across the full range (40…1600 x 1.2 A for MTZ1, up to 80…6300 x 1.2 A for MTZ3). Voltage accuracy is also ±0.5 %. That's Class 0.5 metering for voltage and Class 1 for active energy — good enough for submetering and energy allocation, though not utility-billing grade. It measures everything you'd expect from a power meter: phase currents, neutral current, ground fault current, all three phase-to-phase and phase-to-neutral voltages, active/reactive/apparent power and energy, power factor, frequency, THD, and unbalance. Demand values for current and power are logged.
This control unit mounts directly onto the MasterPacT breaker frame — it's not a standalone device. The breaker itself is panel-mounted, typically in a switchboard or motor control center. Communication is via Bluetooth 4.0 LE (30 kbit/s), NFC (28.8 kbaud), and USB (115 kbaud). No Ethernet or fieldbus module on this variant — you'd step up to a MicroLogic 5.0 or 6.0 for that. The Bluetooth link is handy for commissioning with a tablet or phone; the USB port is for local configuration and firmware updates. The LCD display is 128 x 96 pixels — small but readable for local readings and alarm summaries. It shows real-time metering, trip cause, breaker health state, and event logs.

Compliant with EN/IEC 60947-2 (low-voltage switchgear), EN/IEC 60092-202 (marine electrical installations), EN/IEC 60947-1, EN/IEC 60255-1 (measuring relays), and EN/IEC 61010-1 (safety requirements for electrical equipment). Overvoltage category IV per IEC 61010-1 — suitable for main distribution panels. Operating temperature range is -25…70 °C, with start-up capability down to -35 °C. Relative humidity up to 95 % at 55 °C. Maximum operating altitude is 5000 m with voltage derating above 2000 m (560 V AC at altitude).
