What this control unit does
The LV847604 is a MicroLogic 7.0 X electronic control unit for Schneider MasterPacT circuit breakers. It's the brain that handles equipment protection, monitoring, and control inside the breaker — not a standalone device. You slot it into a compatible MasterPacT frame (trip unit ratings from 400 A up to 3200 A) and it takes over the trip logic, metering, and communications. Protection functions are LSIV: long-time overload (ANSI 49), instantaneous short-circuit (ANSI 50), short-time short-circuit (ANSI 51), and earth-leakage (ANSI 51G). That covers the full selectivity stack for a distribution feeder — you can coordinate downstream breakers with the short-time delay and ZSI (zone selective interlocking) to clear faults fast without tripping the whole bus. It measures everything you'd expect from a power meter: per-phase and average RMS current, neutral and ground fault current, phase-to-phase and phase-to-neutral voltage, active/reactive/apparent power, power factor, energy in/out/total, frequency, THD for current and voltage, unbalance, and demand values. Accuracy on current and voltage is ±0.5 %, active energy ±1 % — Class 1 for billing-grade energy logging.
Mounts inside the MasterPacT breaker — no DIN rail, no separate enclosure. The 128 x 96 pixel LCD gives you local readout of all metered values and event logs without needing to plug in a laptop. Communication ports are Bluetooth 4.0 LE (30 kbit/s), NFC (28.8 kbaud), and USB (115 kbaud) for local configuration and data pull. No onboard Ethernet or fieldbus — that comes via a separate communication module on the breaker. Indoor use only, wet locations not approved. Operating altitude up to 5000 m with voltage derating above 2000 m (560 V AC at max altitude).
