Switch-disconnector for distribution and motor isolation
The Schneider Electric LV848757 is a MasterPact MTZ2 12 HA10 switch-disconnector rated 1250 A at 1150 V AC, 4 poles, in a drawout chassis-mount format. It carries AC-23A and AC-3 utilisation categories, meaning it handles both motor switching (AC-3) and mixed resistive-inductive loads including occasional motor starting (AC-23A) — the AC-23A rating is the more demanding duty, covering frequent inrush without derating the switch. The 50 kA rated short-time withstand current (Icw) for 1 s and 105 kA peak making capacity (Icm) at 1150 V tell you this part can hold in on a fault long enough for upstream protection to clear, and can close into a bolted fault without welding contacts.
Isolation and safety compliance
Rated insulation voltage (Ui) 1250 V AC, impulse withstand (Uimp) 12 kV, and a visible contact position indicator confirm suitability for isolation per EN/IEC 60947-3 — you can use this as the service disconnect for a panel or motor control centre. IP30 protection suits indoor panel mounting; the drawout mechanism lets you rack the switch out for safe maintenance without removing wiring.
Drawout chassis mount with 115 mm connection pitch. The 4-pole unit occupies a 556 mm wide × 439 mm high × 403 mm deep footprint — plan the panel cutout and busbar alignment around those dimensions. The drawout cradle (ordered separately) stays wired; the switch-disconnector itself racks in and out for inspection or replacement without disturbing the power connections.
