The LX0FK010 is a contactor coil from the TeSys F range, designed to operate the main contactor in motor-starting and power-switching applications. It's the replaceable coil assembly for TeSys F frame contactors, not the complete contactor itself. Rated for 380...400 V AC at 50/60 Hz, with control voltage limits of 0.85...1.1 Uc for both latching and unlatching. That means it holds in reliably down to about 323 V and up to 440 V, which covers typical industrial supply sags and swells on a 400 V nominal system. Coil resistance measures 89.56 Ohm for the latching winding and 10,570 Ohm for the unlatching winding at 68 °F (20 °C). The two-winding design is typical for DC-operated or mechanically-latched contactors — the latching winding pulls the armature in, then the hold-in winding takes over with lower current draw.
Performance and duty cycle
Operating time is 50...100 ms for unlatching and 40...80 ms for latching. That's fast enough for most motor-starting sequences but not for high-speed jogging applications — the maximum operating rate is 120 cycles per hour at 104 °F (40 °C). Mechanical durability is rated at 1 million cycles. That's the mechanical life of the coil assembly itself, not the contactor's electrical life under load — electrical life will be lower depending on the switched current and duty class.
