The LX1D2Y5 is a replacement coil for the TeSys D contactor range, designed for 220 V AC 50 Hz control circuits. It draws 60 VA inrush at pickup and settles to 7 VA holding — the inrush figure matters for transformer sizing in the control panel; a 60 VA surge on a small control transformer can drop the rail below the dropout threshold if the transformer is undersized.
Voltage tolerance and fit
The coil operates across 0.8 to 1.1 times Uc (176 to 242 V AC) at ambient up to 55 °C. That 0.8 lower limit is the practical dropout boundary — if your control voltage sags below 176 V during a downstream fault, the contactor drops out, which may be either a safety feature or a nuisance trip depending on the circuit design.
