Coil voltage and application fit
The LX1D4S6 is a replacement coil for the LX1-D contactor range, wound for 575 V AC at 60 Hz supply. That voltage is common in Canadian and some US industrial plants running 600 V class motor control centres — the coil taps directly off the line-to-line control transformer without a separate step-down. Because it is a 60 Hz-only coil, it will not pull in reliably on a 50 Hz line of the same voltage — the lower impedance at 50 Hz drops the holding force and can cause chattering or coil burn-out. Confirm the control supply frequency before committing the BOM line.
