The LX1D8E6 is a TeSys Deca contactor coil from Schneider Electric, designed for 48 V AC 60 Hz control circuits and intended for use with a 115 A contactor. It is part of the TeSys range, a widely deployed family in industrial motor control panels.
Rated for 48 V AC at 60 Hz, this coil pulls 300 VA inrush at 60 Hz with a cos φ of 0.8, then holds at 22 VA with cos φ 0.3. The inrush figure tells you the instantaneous load on the control transformer when the contactor picks; the hold-in VA is what the coil continuously dissipates. Heat dissipation runs 3 to 8 W at 60 Hz, which matters for thermal management inside a sealed enclosure. Coil resistance averages 3.91 Ω at 68 °F (20 °C), and closed-circuit inductance is 0.28 H. The control circuit voltage limits are 0.85 to 1.1 Uc for pickup and 0.3 to 0.6 Uc for dropout at 60 Hz, so the coil will hold in down to about 40.8 V and drop out between 14.4 and 28.8 V. No built-in suppressor module is included — if your application needs flyback suppression, you add it externally. Ambient air temperature range for operation is 23 to 140 °F (-5 to 60 °C).
