The LX1FF1000 is a TeSys F contactor coil from Schneider Electric, designed to actuate the main contactor in a motor starter or power switching assembly. It operates on a 1000 V AC 50 Hz control circuit, drawing 550 VA inrush at 20 °C and 45 VA hold-in power at the same temperature.
Key electrical characteristics
The coil has an average resistance of 610 Ohm at 68 °F (20 °C) and an inductance of 68.5 H when closed. Its control circuit voltage limits are: drop-out at 0.35...0.55 Uc and operational range of 0.85...1.1 Uc at 50/60 Hz and 131 °F (55 °C). This means the coil reliably picks up at 850 V AC and drops out between 350 and 550 V AC, which is important for brownout ride-through planning. Operating time is 23...35 ms closing and 5...15 ms opening. That 5 ms minimum opening time is fast enough for most safety circuits but verify it coordinates with your upstream breaker's clearing time if used in a direct-on-line start.
Thermal and mechanical performance
Heat dissipation runs 12...16 W at 50 Hz, so factor that into your panel's thermal budget — a densely packed enclosure with several TeSys F contactors running continuously will need ventilation or derating. That rate suits moderate-speed conveyor or pump cycling but not high-speed stamping press applications. Ambient air temperature for operation is 23...131 °F (-5...55 °C). The coil technology is without built-in suppressor module, so you'll need to add an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil if driving it from a PLC output or solid-state relay to prevent voltage spikes.
