The LX1FG052 is a replacement coil for TeSys F contactors, wound for 52 V AC at 50 Hz control voltage. It draws 805 VA inrush at 50 Hz (cos φ 0.3) and settles to 55 VA holding power — the thermal dissipation lands between 18 and 24 W at 50 Hz, so the contactor enclosure needs to shed that heat in a panel. Coil resistance measures 0.84 Ω at 20 °C, and the inductance of the closed circuit is 0.14 H. The coil has no built-in suppressor module — if the control circuit drives inductive loads nearby, you will want an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil to limit voltage spikes on dropout.
Operating characteristics and duty cycle
Closing time is 20 to 35 ms; opening takes 7 to 15 ms. The coil holds in across 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc at 55 °C, and drops out between 0.35 and 0.55 Uc — that dropout margin is wide enough to ride through brief sags without nuisance tripping.
Schneider Electric lists the LX1FG052 as obsolete.
