Coil for TeSys F contactors — 1000 V AC 50 Hz
The LX1FG1000 is a replacement coil for Schneider Electric TeSys F contactors, rated for 1000 V AC 50 Hz control circuits. It draws 805 VA inrush at 20 °C (cos φ 0.3) and settles to 55 VA holding — the 18…24 W heat dissipation at 50 Hz means the contactor enclosure needs ventilation if multiple coils are stacked in a sealed panel. Operating time is 20…35 ms closing, 7…15 ms opening — fast enough for motor starting duty but not for high-speed jogging circuits. The coil has no built-in suppressor module; if your control system uses solid-state outputs or a PLC with triac drivers, add an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals to limit switching transients.
Voltage tolerance and duty cycle
Drop-out occurs at 0.35…0.55 Uc (350…550 V AC) and pick-up at 0.85…1.1 Uc (850…1100 V AC), both at 55 °C. That wide drop-out band means the coil will hold in through brief sags down to about 55 % of nominal — useful on weak utility feeds. Maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles per hour at 55 °C, which translates to one operation every 1.5 seconds; beyond that the coil temperature rise may exceed the 55 °C ambient limit. Mechanical durability is 10 million cycles — a long life for a contactor coil, but the electrical life of the main poles will be the limiting factor in most motor-switching applications. The coil resistance is 370 Ω at 20 °C; inductance of the closed circuit is 51.6 H, which influences the suppression component selection.
