The LX1FG264 is a replacement coil for the TeSys F contactor range, wound for 264 V AC 50 Hz control circuits. It pulls 805 VA inrush at 50 Hz (cos φ 0.3) and settles to 55 VA hold-in — the inrush figure is what the control transformer and wiring need to handle, not just the sealed draw. Heat dissipation runs 18 to 24 W at 50 Hz, so panel thermal rise is a real consideration if multiple coils are ganged on the same enclosure.
Switching performance and duty cycle
Closing time is 20 to 35 ms, opening 7 to 15 ms. That's fast enough for most motor-start and lighting contactor applications, but if you're sequencing contactors in a reversing starter, account for the 20 ms minimum close time in your interlock timing. The coil is rated for 2400 cycles per hour at 131 °F (55 °C) ambient, and mechanical durability is 10 million cycles — the coil itself won't be the wear-out item in normal use.
Coil voltage tolerance and suppressor note
Pickup voltage range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 50/60 Hz and 131 °F (55 °C); dropout is 0.35 to 0.55 Uc. That means the coil will pull in reliably down to about 224 V AC and drop out below roughly 145 V AC — useful to know if your control supply sags under heavy load. The coil ships without a built-in suppressor module, so you'll need to add an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil if you're switching it with a PLC output or solid-state relay. Coil resistance is 24.52 Ω at 68 °F (20 °C); inductance of the closed circuit is 3.7 H.
