The LX1FG550 is a replacement coil for TeSys F contactors, rated for a 600 V AC 60 Hz control circuit. It draws 970 VA inrush at 60 Hz (cos φ 0.3) and settles to 66 VA hold-in — the gap tells you the coil's magnetic circuit is fully seated once the contactor pulls in. Heat dissipation runs 18 to 24 W at 60 Hz, which matters for enclosure thermal rise when multiple contactors share a panel. Closing time is 20 to 35 ms; opening time is 7 to 15 ms. The coil has no built-in suppressor module — if your application drives inductive loads or a PLC output, you'll need an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals.
The 600 V AC 60 Hz control voltage is the coil's nominal — it operates between 0.85 and 1.1 Uc (510 to 660 V) and drops out between 0.35 and 0.55 Uc (210 to 330 V) at 55 °C. If your panel runs 480 V control, this coil will not pull in reliably; you need the 480 V variant in the LX1FG family. The 103 Ω average resistance at 20 °C and 15.3 H inductance of the closed circuit give you the DC parameters for suppressor sizing.
