The LX1FH8502 is a replacement contactor coil from the Schneider Electric TeSys range, designed to power the LX1F contactor series. It operates on a control voltage of 850-910 V AC at 40-400 Hz, drawing 8 W of heat dissipation at those frequencies.
The 850-910 V AC control voltage is a high-voltage coil — not a standard 24 V or 110 V control circuit. Verify that your panel's control transformer and wiring are rated for this range before specifying. The coil holds in from 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc (about 723-1001 V AC) and drops out between 0.35 and 0.55 times Uc (about 298-500 V AC). That dropout threshold matters for undervoltage release coordination: if your line dips below 300 V AC, the contactor will open.
Integration notes
The coil has no built-in suppressor module. If the contactor drives inductive loads (motors, solenoids), you need an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals to limit voltage spikes on the control circuit. The 8 W dissipation at 40-400 Hz is continuous — ensure adequate airflow or spacing from heat-sensitive components inside the panel. The 2400 cycles/hour maximum at 55 °C derates at higher ambient temperatures; the operating range is -5 to 55 °C.
