The LX1FJ140 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys F range, built for 140 V AC control circuits at 50/60 Hz. It's the energizing coil that pulls in the TeSys F contactor's main poles — the part that actually makes the contactor switch. If you're swapping a burned-out coil on a line-down TeSys F contactor, this is the direct drop-in.
What the control voltage means for your panel
If your control transformer taps are set for 120 V or 240 V, this coil won't pull in reliably. It's sized for a 140 V control bus, common in older European-spec panels or where the transformer secondary is wound for that nominal. Verify your control voltage before you swap; a coil rated for 140 V AC won't tolerate 240 V for long.
