The LX1FK042: The coil draws a measured inrush resistance of 1.21 Ω at 20 °C and a holding resistance of 21.01 Ω at 20 °C, which determines the inrush current and sealed VA draw your control transformer must support. Operating time is 100 to 170 ms for opening and 40 to 75 ms for closing — fast enough for standard motor starting and isolation, but not intended for high-speed cycling applications where contactor overlap timing is critical.
Control circuit and voltage limits
Rated control circuit voltage is 42 V AC 50/60 Hz. The coil picks up reliably between 0.85 and 1.1 Uc (35.7 to 46.2 V AC) at 55 °C, and drops out between 0.3 and 0.5 Uc (12.6 to 21 V AC) at 55 °C. This drop-out margin means the contactor will release cleanly on a sagging control supply, avoiding partial engagement. The coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. For inductive-load switching on the control transformer secondary, add an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals to limit voltage spikes and protect PLC outputs.
Durability and operating conditions
Ambient temperature range for operation is -5 to 55 °C.
