The LX1FK660 is a replacement coil for TeSys F contactors, rated for 660 V AC control circuits at 40-400 Hz. It's the part you swap when a contactor coil opens or shorts on the line — no need to replace the whole power stack if the main poles are still good. Inrush pulls 1100 VA at cos φ 0.9, then settles to 18 VA holding at cos φ 0.3. That 18 W dissipation figure is what heats the enclosure — if you're packing multiple contactors in a tight panel, derate ambient or add ventilation above 55 °C. Coil resistance drops from 1.9 Ω inrush to 33.5 Ω holding at 20 °C. The opening time runs 100-170 ms, closing 40-75 ms — fast enough for motor starting, but not for high-speed cycling above 2400 cycles/hour at 55 °C.
Control circuit voltage limits and suppressor note
Operational range is 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc (561-726 V AC) at 55 °C; dropout happens between 0.3 and 0.5 Uc (198-330 V AC). That dropout band is wide — if your control transformer sags under load, this coil will hold longer than a tighter-tolerance coil, which matters on weak line feeds. No built-in suppressor module. That means you need an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil if the PLC output or relay driving it can't handle the inductive kickback. Standard practice: fit a Schneider RXM or equivalent RC unit in parallel.
Mechanical durability and thermal limits
Rated for 10 million mechanical cycles — that's the contactor frame's life, not the coil's. The coil itself is a wear item; if you're cycling near the 2400 cycles/hour max, expect to replace coils before the frame wears out.
