The LX1LB028 is a replacement coil from the TeSys range, designed for contactors and starters that use the LX1 coil platform. It is the part you swap when the original coil fails or when you need to change the control voltage on an existing contactor in the panel.
Coil resistance measures 6.8 Ohm at 20 °C, ±10 %. That value is useful for bench-testing a replacement: if you measure open circuit or a dead short, the coil is bad. It also lets you calculate steady-state current draw — roughly 4.1 A at 28 VAC — for sizing the control transformer. Inductance is 0.95 mH, which together with the resistance sets the inrush characteristic. The coil draws 75 VA inrush at 0.55 power factor, then drops to 8 VA sealed at 0.28 power factor. That inrush-to-sealed ratio of nearly 10:1 means the control transformer must be rated for the momentary surge, not just the holding VA.
