The LX1LD0489 is a replacement coil for the TeSys Integral line of combination starters — the ones that pack a contactor, overload relay, and disconnect into one DIN-rail footprint. It's the part you order when the original coil opens or the control voltage changes and you're keeping the existing starter base. Rated for 48 V AC 50 Hz control circuits. Inrush draws 350-400 VA at cos phi 0.55; once sealed, the hold-in drops to 20-30 VA at cos phi 0.28. That inrush-to-hold ratio is typical of AC-operated contactor coils — the control transformer sizing needs to cover the inrush peak, not just the sealed VA. Operational voltage window is 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc (40.8 to 52.8 V AC). Drop-out range is 0.25 to 0.7 times Uc (12 to 33.6 V AC) at up to 55 °C. If your line voltage sags below 40.8 V during a brownout, the coil may drop out and the starter opens — that's by design, not a fault.
If you're replacing an existing unit, verify the coil resistance (1.26 Ohm at 20 °C) and closed-circuit inductance (0.29 H) against your starter base to confirm the magnetic circuit matches.
Physical and electrical notes
Single unit per package. The coil is a drop-in replacement for the TeSys Integral starter — no modification to the base or wiring required. The 48 V AC winding is designed for 50 Hz supply; operating at 60 Hz will shift the impedance and may reduce pull-in force, so confirm the control transformer frequency matches. Resistance measured at 1.26 Ohm at 68 °F (20 °C). Use this as a bench-check value when troubleshooting a coil that won't pull in — a shorted turn will read significantly lower, an open winding will read infinite.
