125 V DC coil for TeSys D
The LX4D4GD is a replacement coil for the TeSys D contactor range, wound for 125 V DC control. The DC control circuit type means it draws continuous current through the coil once energised — unlike an AC coil that relies on an impedance rise from the armature closing, a DC coil dissipates steady power and needs the rated voltage held within its operating band. That 0.85× drop-out margin matters in a nacelle or panel where the DC bus may sag under load — if the rail dips below ~106 V DC the coil drops out and the contactor opens, which can drop a motor or heater off-line without warning.
