The LX4D6LD is a replacement coil for the LX1D6 contactor in the TeSys range. It operates on a 200 V DC control circuit and draws its holding current through a 51.9 Ohm winding at 68 °F (20 °C). This is a bare coil — no built-in suppressor module. On a DC coil, the inductive kickback is higher than an AC equivalent, so you need an external free-wheeling diode or varistor across the coil terminals. Wire it with the cathode to the positive rail; reversed polarity shorts the diode and kills the drive transistor on the PLC output card.
Rated for 200 V DC control voltage — this is the nominal pick-up and hold voltage. On a DC coil, the inrush current is limited only by the DC resistance, so the 51.9 Ohm winding draws about 3.85 A during pick-up before the armature seats and the inductance rises to 4.18 H. That rate is the mechanical limit — the contactor's electrical life at rated load will be lower. For high-duty applications like rapid cycling conveyors, check the contactor's electrical endurance curve against your load current. Ambient temperature range of -5 to 60 °C. Within a sealed panel near a drive or transformer, ambient can exceed 50 °C — this coil is rated to handle it. Below -5 °C, the coil's pick-up voltage may shift; the DC resistance drops with cold, increasing inrush current, but the magnetic circuit's reluctance also rises. Not recommended for freezer applications without pre-heating.
