The LX4D6SD is a replacement contactor coil in the TeSys Deca family, designed for the LX1D6 contactor frame. It runs on a 72 V AC 60 Hz control circuit, pulling 220 VA inrush and 22 VA hold-in at 60 Hz. The coil dissipates 6 to 10 W at 50/60 Hz, which matters for thermal budget inside a crowded panel — if you are stacking contactors side by side, that heat adds up.
Control voltage and operating limits
Drop-out occurs between 0.3 and 0.6 Uc (roughly 22 to 43 V), and pick-up needs 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 60 Hz below 55 °C. If your line runs at 50 Hz, the pick-up window shifts to 0.8 to 1.1 Uc. The average coil resistance sits at 230 ohms at 20 °C, and the closed-circuit inductance is 16.1 H.
Mechanical and thermal notes
The coil has no built-in suppressor module — if your application drives inductive loads or shares a control transformer with PLC outputs, plan for an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals to protect the control circuit. Ambient operating range is -5 to 60 °C.
