Contactor coil for TeSys FF contactors
The LX4FF080 is a replacement contactor coil from the Schneider Electric TeSys range, designed for FF-frame contactors. It operates on an 80 V DC control circuit with low-consumption DC coil technology.
Operating characteristics and integration
Closing time is 30 to 40 ms; opening time is 30 to 50 ms. Control voltage limits are 0.85 to 1.1 Uc for operation at 55 °C, and dropout occurs between 0.15 and 0.2 Uc at 55 °C. This coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. For DC control circuits, you will need to add an external free-wheeling diode or varistor across the coil terminals to suppress the inductive kickback when de-energizing — otherwise the voltage spike can damage PLC output cards or relay contacts driving the coil.
