Function & operation
This coil is the electromagnetic actuator that pulls in the main poles of a TeSys F contactor. The 72 V DC wide range control circuit accepts a broader voltage band than a standard DC coil, which helps maintain pickup on long cable runs where voltage drop is a concern. Because the coil ships without a built-in suppressor module, the panel builder must size and install an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals to limit inductive kickback when the control circuit opens.
