TeSys F contactor coil — LX4FG100
The LX4FG100 is a replacement contactor coil in the Schneider TeSys F range, designed for 125 V DC wide-range control circuits. It pulls in at 0.7 to 1.25 Uc and drops out between 0.2 and 0.45 Uc at 158 °F (70 °C), so it holds reliably across a sagging DC bus but releases cleanly when the control signal drops. Closing time runs 30 to 40 ms; opening takes 30 to 50 ms. That puts it in the standard range for a TeSys F contactor — fast enough for motor starting, not so fast it hammers the contacts on every cycle. The coil draws 800 W inrush (at 68 °F/20 °C) and holds at 5 W. Average resistance is 12 Ω inrush, 2230 Ω holding. No built-in suppressor module is included — if your control circuit needs flyback suppression, you add it externally. Inductance of the closed circuit is 196 H.
It is a drop-in coil for any TeSys F contactor that takes the 125 V DC wide-range coil option. No adapter, no wiring modification — same footprint, same mounting.
Installation notes
The coil mounts directly onto the TeSys F contactor body — no tools beyond a screwdriver for the coil terminals. No derating needed for standard industrial enclosures. Because the coil has no built-in suppressor, plan for an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil if the control circuit uses a PLC or solid-state output. The 196 H inductance means the flyback voltage spike can be significant without suppression.
