Integrator note: LX4FH035 contactor coil
The LX4FH035 is a TeSys F contactor coil from Schneider Electric, designed as a replacement or service part for TeSys F contactors in the 32...48 V DC control voltage range. It is a DC low-consumption coil without a built-in suppressor module, meaning you must add an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals to protect the control circuit from inductive kickback during de-energization. The coil draws 190 W inrush at 20 °C and holds at 0.9 W, with an average inrush resistance of 0.9 Ohm and holding resistance of 192 Ohm. Operating time is 40...50 ms for closing and 40...65 ms for opening, which is typical for this contactor frame size and suitable for standard motor starting and resistive load switching.
As a service part for the TeSys F range, it is specified into the BOM for maintenance spares and new panel builds alike — no last-time-buy or broker-channel sourcing needed.
Mechanical and thermal limits
The ambient air temperature range for operation is -5 to 55 °C, so it is suitable for standard indoor panel environments but not for extreme cold storage or high-heat locations without derating.
Control voltage and drop-out characteristics
The control circuit voltage is 32...48 V DC, with an operational range of 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc at 55 °C, meaning the coil will pick up reliably between about 27 V and 53 V DC. Drop-out occurs between 0.15 and 0.2 times Uc at 55 °C (roughly 5 to 10 V DC), so the contactor will release cleanly on a control voltage sag without chattering.
Coil inductance and power characteristics
The closed-circuit inductance is 59.5 H, which combined with the holding resistance of 192 Ohm gives a time constant that influences the external suppression component selection. Hold-in power consumption is just 0.9 W at 20 °C, keeping thermal rise low in a densely packed panel.
