The LX4FH375 is a replacement coil for TeSys F contactors, wound for 375 V DC control. It is a DC low-consumption coil without a built-in suppressor module, so you will need to add a free-wheeling diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals if the driving PLC or relay card does not already handle flyback suppression. The coil draws 750 W inrush at 20 °C (about 2 A peak) and settles to 5 W holding. The holding resistance is 44 kΩ, which means the steady-state current is around 8.5 mA — low enough that a standard 24 V DC relay output can drive it through a series resistor or a dedicated DC coil driver, but the inrush spike needs a supply that can deliver the peak without droop.
Timing and mechanical life
Closing time is 40 to 50 ms; opening takes 40 to 65 ms. That spread matters if you are coordinating with upstream short-circuit protection or sequencing multiple contactors — the opening scatter can be 25 ms, so do not rely on this coil alone for precise simultaneous break. Maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles per hour at 55 °C. That is one cycle every 1.5 seconds — fine for most motor starting and resistive load switching, but if you are running a rapid-pick-and-place or a fast-reversing application, you will need to check the thermal rise in the coil.
Voltage tolerance and temperature range
The coil holds in from 0.85 to 1.1 times the rated control voltage (319 to 412 V DC) at 55 °C. Drop-out occurs between 0.15 and 0.2 Uc (56 to 75 V DC). That wide drop-out margin means the contactor will not chatter on a sagging DC bus — it stays pulled in until the voltage falls well below the nominal rail.
