The TeSys LX4FJ027 is a DC low-consumption contactor coil, part of the TeSys FJ range, designed for 27 V DC control circuits. It drives the contactor's opening and closing action at 45 to 60 ms and 50 to 60 ms respectively. The coil draws 0.689 Ω inrush and 183 Ω holding resistance at 20 °C, reflecting its low-hold-power design — the holding current drops significantly once the contactor is sealed, which reduces heat buildup in the panel. Control voltage limits are specified at 0.85 to 1.1 Uc for operation and 0.2 to 0.35 Uc for dropout at 55 °C, so the coil reliably pulls in at 22.95 V DC and drops out below 9.45 V DC.
Integration Note — Coil Suppression
This coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. When integrating into a 24 V DC control circuit (the 27 V DC nominal is within the 0.85-1.1 Uc operating band), add an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals to protect PLC output cards and relay contacts from the inductive kick during dropout.
