Field-fit note for the LX4FJ036
This is the replacement coil for a TeSys FJ contactor frame, 36 V DC control. It pulls in at 0.85 to 1.1 Uc and drops out between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc at 55 °C — so if your control bus sags below about 7 V DC, the contactor drops. The coil draws about 1.3 Ω inrush, then holds at 347.6 Ω once sealed.
What the timing tells you
Opening time is 45 to 60 ms, closing 50 to 60 ms. That range is tight enough for most motor-start and lighting contactor circuits — no delayed dropout surprises on a fast-cycling load. No built-in suppressor module, so you'll want a free-wheeling diode or RC snubber across this coil if your PLC output card doesn't have one onboard.
Snaps onto the FJ contactor magnet assembly. Coil terminals are screw-clamp, same pitch as the contactor base. Strip 8 mm, torque to about 0.8 N·m. No polarity marking on the coil — it's DC but non-polarized, so you can swap the wires without issue.
