The LX4FJ100 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys FJ range, designed for 100 V DC control circuits. It fits the FJ-series contactor frame and drives the main pole closure and opening sequence. Rated operating time is 45 to 60 ms for opening and 50 to 60 ms for closing — consistent with standard power contactor response for motor and resistive load switching in control panels.
Control circuit and voltage tolerance
Control circuit voltage is 100 V DC, classified as DC low consumption. The coil holds in across 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), and drops out between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc at the same temperature. That dropout threshold — 20 to 35 V — means the contactor releases reliably on a sagging DC bus without needing an undervoltage release add-on. Coil resistance measures 9.7 Ω inrush and 2643 Ω holding at 68 °F (20 °C). The wide ratio between inrush and holding reflects the DC economizer circuit built into the FJ coil design — high pull-in force, low sustained power draw.
Suppressor and ambient limits
This coil ships without a built-in suppressor module. If the control circuit uses a solid-state output or a PLC with sensitive electronics, an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals is needed to clamp the inductive kick on dropout. Ambient air temperature range for operation is 23 to 131 °F (-5 to 55 °C).
