The LX4FK027 is a replacement contactor coil from the Schneider Electric TeSys range, rated for 27 V DC control voltage with a low-consumption DC control circuit. Opening time is 45-60 ms and closing time is 50-60 ms — this governs the contactor's response in sequential start circuits or safety interlocks where timing matters. It ships without a built-in suppressor module, so you must add an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil if driving from a PLC output or solid-state relay, otherwise the inductive kick can damage the driver.
Coil voltage and control limits
Rated control circuit voltage is 27 V DC. The operational range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), meaning the coil holds in from about 23 V to 29.7 V DC. Drop-out occurs between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc — roughly 5.4 to 9.45 V DC — so it releases reliably on undervoltage. Average resistance at 68 °F (20 °C) is 165.9 Ohm holding and 0.64 Ohm inrush — the inrush current spike is roughly 42 A at 27 V DC before the coil warms and settles to about 163 mA holding current.
Confirm the external suppression requirement with your panel design before committing the order.
