The Schneider Electric TeSys LX4FK080 is a contactor coil designed for DC low-consumption control circuits, operating at 80 V DC nominal control voltage. It is part of the FK series of coils, intended to be paired with a matching TeSys contactor to switch motor loads or other power circuits in industrial control panels. The coil's opening time is 45 to 60 ms and closing time is 50 to 60 ms, which governs the switching speed of the contactor it drives. It has no built-in suppressor module, meaning an external flyback diode or RC snubber must be added across the coil terminals to protect the control circuit from voltage spikes when de-energizing. Control voltage limits are specified: dropout occurs between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), and operational range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at the same temperature. Ambient operating temperature is 23 to 131 °F (-5 to 55 °C).
