The LX4FK250 is a replacement coil for TeSys F contactors, rated for 250 V DC control circuits. It's a DC low-consumption design — inrush draws 1100 W at 20 °C, holding settles to 6 W, with a holding resistance of 9650 Ω once the armature seals. The coil has no built-in suppressor module, so you'll need to add a free-wheeling diode or varistor across the terminals if the driving circuit doesn't already provide suppression. Opening time runs 45–60 ms, closing 50–60 ms.
Control Voltage Limits — What Stays and What Drops
The coil operates reliably between 0.85 and 1.1 Uc at 55 °C — that's 212.5 to 275 V DC. Drop-out happens between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc (50 to 87.5 V DC). If your control supply sags during a brownout, the contactor will drop out before the motor starter loses its hold-in, which is the expected behavior for a fail-safe circuit. The closed-circuit inductance of 1350 H means the coil stores significant energy — another reason to fit that external suppression diode.
Temperature and Duty Cycle Constraints
No derating curve is published in the basic spec, but the 2400 cycles/hour maximum is stated at the top of that range. If your panel runs hotter than 55 °C, this coil isn't the right fit — look for a higher-temperature variant in the TeSys range or add forced ventilation.
