Product details

The LX4FK375 is a replacement coil for the TeSys F range of contactors, wound for 375 V DC control. It is a low-consumption DC coil: inrush hits 1100 W at 20 °C, then drops to 6 W holding. The inrush resistance is 225 Ω; holding resistance jumps to 31300 Ω. No built-in suppressor module — the coil technology is bare. You must add a free-wheeling diode across the coil terminals, or the inductive kick when de-energizing will arc across the control contact.

Opening time is 45-60 ms; closing is 50-60 ms. That's typical for a large-frame DC coil — the inductance of 5270 H in the closed circuit slows the magnetic decay. For a line that needs fast fault isolation (like a motor circuit dropping on a short), 60 ms is acceptable but not fast. If your safety circuit expects < 20 ms break time, this coil won't meet it without a forced-drop circuit. Mechanical durability is 10 Mcycles. At the maximum operating rate of 2400 cycles/hour at 55 °C, that's about 4167 hours of continuous cycling — roughly 6 months of 24/7 operation. In practice, most TeSys F contactors in motor-starting duty cycle far slower (a few times per hour), so the coil will outlast the contactor's electrical life by a wide margin. The drop-out voltage is 0.2-0.35 Uc at 55 °C — meaning the coil releases when the control voltage falls to 75-131 V DC. That's a wide hysteresis; if your DC bus sags during a motor start, the coil may drop out and re-pick up, causing contactor chatter. Verify your bus regulation holds above 320 V DC under load.

Sourcing and lifecycle — active, but not a shelf item

It is part of the TeSys F range. If you have a TeSys F contactor and the coil failed, this is the correct replacement for a 375 V DC control circuit.

Frequently asked questions

What contactors does this coil fit?

It fits the TeSys F range — the same frame as LC1F115, LC1F150, and LC1F185 contactors. It is the correct replacement coil when the control voltage is 375 V DC.
